The event was held on the 28th of January 2023 for all qualifying dogs from the 2022 year.
Our judges were:
- Mrs Lena Newman (Phreelancer)
- Mr Tony Iley (Ileyda)
- Mrs Sandra Taylor (Bruernish)
We had a super entry of fifty-four dogs across the four categories and judging started at 1pm at the Delta by Marriott Nottingham Belfry.
First category was Junior of the year, followed by Veteran of the year, then dog CC and res CC winners and finally bitch CC and res CC winners.
There were plenty of breaks between categories to give exhibitors time to change dogs etc, our usual quiz with table prizes rounder off a great afternoon.
We finished with a celebratory meal to round the day off and finished with a disco to dance the night away.

Just to say a big thankyou to all of the exhibitors who celebrated their dogs wins by supporting our RCOTY event. and to all the guests who came and joined in the fun, we couldn’t do this without you!! …I have received some super feedback regarding our new venue which we hope to keep for future years.
Personally, i would like to thank Duna, Nick, Georgie, and Rob for all their help on the day to keep things running smoothly and to Georgie for her help in sourcing the hotel.

So onwards and upward now to concentrate on our biggest event, the British Collie Club championship show on the 4th March, we look forward to welcoming you all there.
